Have you read any of the reviews on the Insel flight? On this or other boards?

we usually do the same thing - instant upgrade on american airlines is often pretty close to the coach fares, plus free bags checked, food, drinks, and a good nap make for an early arrival in curacao - we just got back a few weeks ago from staying at blue bay. it worked well!
