I am hoping to ferry from playa del carmen to cozumel. I want to find a dive/snorkel boat. half of our group dives and the other snorkels. Are there any recommendations out there?

THanks for your help!

I just returned from a cruise and booked a "Three reef snorkel" tour from Carnival. We never once got within a hundred yards of a reef. Make sure whoever takes you actually goes to a reef. The best ones for snorkeling are in the south, like Colombia Shallows, Horseshoe, etc.

Fernando Gonzalez of Manta Raya Divers is great. Only takes 6 maybe 7 or so on the boat. He does both snorkels and dives. We've been diving with Fernando since 2001 and dove with him in March and will be back in June to dive with him again. If you choose to go with Fernando, he'll give you instructions/directions to find his boat - located at Puerto Abrigo (very small and about 5 minutes north of town.)

Have fun!
