I am trying to plan a trip in May 2008 to either Cozumel or Utila. Have been to Cozumel and Roatan. I prefer the dramatic wall dives and cuts and swim thrus of Cozumel, but would like something different. I am not stuck on Utila, so any other suggestions would be helpful. Cost is not a factor. Perhaps Cayman Brac or Little Cayman.

If you want dramatic walls, then you should look at Little Cayman or Turks & Caicos. Belize is supposed to have some nice walls also. If money isn't an issue, think about a liveaboard to any of those places - dive 4-5 dives per day!
If you just did Roatan then I don't think you want to go to Utila.

That does sound like Cayman Brac or Little Cayman, or perhaps Grand Turk.

Was in Little Cayman this past January -- the wall diving is seriously amazing, totally surpassed my expectations. Probabably the best I've done in the Carribbean. Loved it.

I liked Turks & Caicos (Provo) a lot too. The reef wasn't as beautiful and the wall not as dramatic, but we saw a whale, and sharks, and TONS of eagle rays which made it an awesome trip as well. The boat rides out to the good sites are fairly long, though.

I didn't like Cozumel too much, with the exception of one or two dives.

Heading to Roatan in July.... yayyyy....

I have dived all of the places mentioned above. If cost is not an issue you got to dive Little Cayman, the best diving I have done in this hemisphire.

I believe May might be Whale Shark Season in Utilla? If so thats were I'd go.

Just got back from Cozumel, some of the Northern dives sites are a bit beat up from the last hurricane. The further South you go the better. Tons of dive boats at almost every site so plan on sharing.

Also from Cozumel you can take the ferry over to Playa Del Carmen. From there head south and spend a day Cenote Diving. Most dive shops in Cozumel can set this up.
