Hi,
I was wondering what mm wetsuit to use in Cozumel in May. I am planning on buying a 7mm for California diving, but since it was Mexico I was thinking 3/2? What do other people wear there. I plan on doing about 3 dives per day. Thanks!

Dave

Of course it depends partly on you personal tolerance, but I would be very happy with a 3/2. My wife adds a hooded vest for when she starts getting chilled after multiple dives.

Been there in May. I use a 3/2mm full with 1mm beanie, while my girlfriend wears a 3/2mm full plus a 3mm hooded vest. We both have been comfortable. Will be going back in May. Can't wait!

Hope this helps.

I go every May (and will again this year; see ya's there), and I wear a 5 mil shorty and very seldom get any chill at all. When I was there in January, I wore a 3 mil full and got a little chilled until I added a beanie, which I will now also wear in May.

Hi Dave, Your 3/2 should be fine. I take along my insulated skin and my 3 mm hyperstretch for May. I use mostly the 3 mm hyperstretch. Have a great time. Sue

Thanks guys for all the great responses. So I guess I'll see some of you guys there and I'll be using a 3/2.

My wife and I both wear .5mil skins in May, it's our usual time to be there, and have always been fine with it. I do also usually take my surfing rash shirt to put on under my skin if I do happen to get a bit of a chill, but rarely use it.

I've also worn my 2 mil shorty and been very comfortable.
