Really? Have they started on it? It looked really bad a month ago.


They've BEEN working on it...the thing everyone needs to keep in mind is that the side you see from the water is usually the last part they work on.

The beach will be the last thing they put back...the roof is almost all completed...and the entire hotel doesn't look as bad as the ocean view rooms.

I think September is a very realistic goal...look how fast everything else has come back together.
 
Looks like about sometime in April when most of the workers will need something to do. Our federal government should have given them the 100 million dollars to go to New Orleans and get started on the repairs. Instead we let the rebuilding money filter through all the corrupted politicians hands. Thanks for the updated hotel list.
 
I was in Cozumel in early December and was amazed then at how far the island had come since Wilma. I was there again Feb 15-20 and was again amazed at how much more had been done, and also at how the greenery is coming back.
