I will be staying at the Barracudda from the 28th to the 3rd - completing a referal course and then diving with Blue Angel - Not totally inexperienced, have done Resort courses 2X and a lot of caving....... Wonder what tips you might have - first time to Cozumel and I can't wait!

You'll be doing most of your 4 certification dives on a shallow reef from shore, so there's nothing there exceptional there, except try not to get too distracted by the odd eagle ray that might cruise by! :dazzler1:

Hopefully, you'll get on a boat and do some boat diving after you finish your skills. For that, there's nothing to do except relax, get neutral, enjoy the underwater flight. Diving off boats in Cozumel is all drift diving, so it's the ultimate lazy man's dive! I LOVE IT!!

Be prepared for a sensory overload though: the reefs in Cozumel are so extremely colourful and vibrant. Amazing. I can't wait. :)

Have fun!

Me and my wife are heading there on Dec. 18th and returning Dec. 25th, diving with Blue XT sea and staying at Casa mexicana. We have never been to cozumel, so we are excited and nervous at the same time. This board helps us with most all our questions.

We hope you have a great time....we did when we stayed at CM and Dove with Christi's Blue XT Sea in April

It's like 33 degrees here in Toronto and snowed all morning, and oh, look the fog has finally gone away, now I can see out my window...and it ain't pretty!
Let

We get there on the 29th - January 5th - a whole group of us - will you still be there??
