Staying at the Presidente- this time I will probably be diving with Scuba Du for convenience and shore diving. Is anyine else going to be there that wishes to sign up for their "special dives" (Punta Sur etc)? They need 4 people minimum. Otherwise I may need to use one of the other operators!

Staying at the Caribe Blu and diving with Deep Blue. Stayed at the Presidente on a prior trip. Did not dive with Scuba Du, not sure how many boats they send to advanced sites. We are planning on doing Punta Sur and Maracaibo again. You may want to pick another op if they require you to fill the boat for them.

Worse case, lets get together for a apres dive cerveza.

Hey there,

I'm heading down from Toronto to Cozumel for 2 weeks, Sept 6th to the 20th. I'll be diving with "Dive with Martin" again. There are a first rate operation and probably the least expensive diving option on the island.

I'll be staying at a bed and breakfast again for this trip... just counting the days.

Cheers,

Lanshark

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one crazy enough to book a trip (week of 09/12) to Mexico during hurricane season. I've read several posts that say not to worry, the weather is hit or miss, etc. etc., BUT my vacation time is valuable and I'm a nervous wreck! That being said, I can't wait for my first trip to Coz!

I haven't decided on a dive op yet. Considering Dive with Martin (price and good recommendations), Blue XT (gets great reviews), and Scuba Du (convenience). Stephen, what's up with the "special dives"? We might be interested.

Does anyone know of a good massage/spa-type place other than the Presidente? Someone recommended Aqua-something? but I haven't been able to find them on the net.

I think you're referring to Acquaspa, here's a link to their website: Acquaspa

Not using ScubaDu for this trip. They are very good and convenient, but I like a bit more variety in terms of destinations, and the guy (sddiver) above made the point- not my job to fill their boats!
