Due to a set of special and unforeseen enabling circumstances, I find myself heading to Cozumel for 6 days in January - the 8th through the 14th. Will there be any other Scubaboarders there at that time?

diveborg and parrothead - The May trip isn't a slam dunk this year (my sis and bro-in-law, who are mainstays of that annual trip, were both rendered unemployed by Katrina), but this trip is definitely an extra.
I've seen lots of recent photos of the hotel, I know that things are not back to normal yet but they are coming along. I've exchanged lots of email with Jeanie and talked with her on the phone.

I'll be at village tankah, right next to Casa del Mar. Not sure where the dives will leave from, as the scubashack pier is gone. Apparently they got a $90,000 estimate to rebuild it (yes, that's right, but man does it seem high to me) so I suspect it won't be rebuilt by January.
I'll be down Jan. 7 - 22 working on my house, soaking up a lot of sun, painting, putting in some new air conditioners and getting a little diving in. If you want to run by the house, visit and grab a good meal drop me a note.

I'll be there that whole time with the folks, my brother, and my wife who is doing OW checkout dives. Jan 11th is my birthday! Birthday dives, WOOHOO!

Anyone want to try to set something up for a group dive on 1/12? I think I get in about 10 am.. I'll be more than ready to hit the water by 11 I'm thinking... ship departs at 7pm, so we should be able to get some dives in..
