Where to dive on Pacific side in late Nov., early Dec. Better in Guanacaste or Cano or elsewhere?

The pacific side is going to pretty similar. Cano has more sharks, Guanacaste maybe more rays. It will be the tail end of rainy season but visibility should be good all round

Depends what you want to see. Guanacaste doesn't has the rivers so rainy season won't affect the visibility. In playas del coco there will be a lot of white tip reef sharks around, turtles, lots of rays. There will be whales around. If you have any questions about diving in guanacaste, playas del coco don't hesitate to contact us!

Sunny regards,

Kiki

Diving conditions depend on the rain season and when rain stops.
Isla del Cano has more of everything, not only sharks, but viz can be more limitated than in Guanacaste.
The best will be to decide when you are there due tha weather is unpredictable.

best regards

Chris Karrer

I would stay in the Guanacaste area since it is easier to get around during the end of the rainy season. Places like Drake Bay are still inundated with water and it may be difficult to get around. However the area around Drake is always wonderful and full of wildlife. Cano island is always good for diving except the main rainy season in Oct.
