Or are they specific to specific models of regulators?

They seem to differ slightly in length and number of corrugations but most DH hoses have 'standard' 1.5" and 1" ID end fittings... and fit a variety of vintage DH models. Some like Spiro Royal Mistral are 1" each end.

I've had problems with modern reproduction DH corrugated hoses having greater wall thickness than the OEM hoses which means the original screw type hose clamps won't close around the corresponding larger OD. Have to move to cable ties.

The best ones I've encountered so far are the slightly longer super flexible ones VDH use on the Kraken and also sell as separate items:

I've used a Mistral II demountable mouthpiece with the Kraken hoses, fitted fine.
However the inlet/exhaust valve supports leaked like a sieve with the standard AS 568 -129 70 Duro o-rings, needed softer 50 Duro to seal properly in the slightly egg shaped bore.
Likewise the angled hose to mouthpiece connectors also leaked slightly using the supplied -129 70 Duro o-rings.
Changed over to ID 39.0 x 3.0mm 70 Duro for a little more compression, now 100% sealed!
