I'm thinking about going to Curacao during one of the coral spawning weeks. Anybody been? Was it worth it? Were there alot more divers then other times? I know it's never a guarantee that you'll get to see it but if I'm going to go in the fall this seems like a worthwhile added bonus to plan for that time.

As much as I love Curacao..the spawning would be a big bonus. Even without it, the diving is spectaular...easy shore dives, great people...

We plan to be on Bonaire for one of the anticipated weeks this fall. I am planning a normal dive vacation, with a few extra night dives. Without catching the spawning I expect to have a memorable vacation. If I do time it right, it will be a bonus.

We will be back in Bonaire for the spawning at the end of September. Dates are shown on Habitats website. www.habitatdiveresorts.com/bonaire

We have done this for the last 7 years, last years was great. We did post a trip report on BT - am I allowed to post a link to it on Scubaboard?

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping there would be someone who's had a great experience witnessing the spawn, but, I think that if we go this fall it will be with no expectations and just enjoy the diving. If we get to see spawning on a night dive then it will just be a very cool bonus.
