Hi all. I have an Aqualung jacket style BCD (model: wave) that is about 10 years old. The power inflator works great and I wanted to convert it into an Air 2. The only problem was the corrugated hose diameter was too small and so the Air 2 wouldn't fit. Does anyone know if I can get just a corrugated hose that would fit the body assembly or I need to get the whole thing. If I do get the whole assembly, I need to make sure the assembly would fit my BC threads. The original power inflator assembly is called "Powerline Airway" if that helps. If anybody has a good idea pointing me to DIY where I can get a hose adapter that I can put it at the end of the corrugated hose and ziptied it, that would be awesome as well. Need ideas and advice.

Thanks for your help!

I know some divers who have an Air 2 and don't like it. Have you tried one out? Have you practiced an AAO ascent with a buddy?

Personally I have never used one and therefore can't offer a 1st person perspective.

Yes I like my Air2. I just got myself a 2nd Air2 and wanted to put it on this BC. It's a nice regulator.

Thanks Awap! Looks like the 1" end might have enough flat surface to glue/connect another 1" hose to lengthen its length. There is a little hope now!!!

Piece together only as a last resort. I'm sure someone makes what you need in the correct length.

+1 on this. If it's glued, someday it's going to come unglued. And if Murphy is involved, it will be at the worst possible moment.
