When asking a question or seeking advice you may get many responses. Rather than acknowledging with a thumbs up or like or typing thanks to all the responders a “thanks” icon may be useful?

It's really awkward to use that one with the giant thumbs-up and goofy grinning face to thank someone for having shared a sad story, for example. The "Like" emoji can be too ambiguous: do you Like the story, or do you Like that the poster shared it? A more dignified, simple "thank you" emoji that could be used in a wider variety of circumstances could be useful.

Picky picky.

@Saboteur - When you hover over the "like" menu, this will pop up:

Pick the option you want...

As a side note, some of us occasionally use the "disagree/thumbs down" for conveying "that just sucks" not "disagree"...
