I was planning a big dive trip this September to Sipadan but canceled due to wife's safety concerns. Then we were going to go to Fiji instead but ended up choosing Bali. Now the whole trip is washed out because it looks like our baby won't be ready to be apart from her mother by then. So......now I am planning a trip for 2 weeks in February.

It's Chinese New Year then so I want to plan and reserve early.

If you know of prime conditions this time of year can you send me your suggestions and I'll do the research? Chances are I already have, I just don't know where is good in Feb.

I live in Korea and would be willing to fly anywhere up to a 10 hour radius. Thanks!

February is a very good time of year for diving in the Andaman Sea (West Coast of Thailand). Out of peak season, weather is great but not too hot (it gets hotter in March and April).

Liveaboards to the Similan/Surin Island are typically 4 days / 4 nights, some can be combined with 2 day trips to the "southern" dive sites like Hin Daeng. There are also trips into the Mergui Archipelago (Burma) - suggest at least a 7 day trip to get the best out of that area.

Or you can do a combination of shorter trips to Similan, Phi Phi, Hin Daeng. And Chinese New Year does get busy, with quite a lot of divers from HK and Singapore, so early booking is a good idea to get what you want.

Have a good trip!
