Which do you folks have/prefer? Console mounting of your computer, or on a wrist-strap? Pros and cons of either would help too.

The only reason not to wrist mount, as far as I'm concerned, is if you are lobstering. Lobsters tend to hide in tight spaces, under rocks, etc., and having a hockey puck on your wrist may pose a problem.

Ok, after 8 pgs (of 71), and the quick replies here, it seems like wrist is the way to go. Thanks!

wrist....

I'd like a wrist mount one, but it seems for an air integrated the cheapest I can find one is $800, and then I'd still need to spend at least $50 on a seperate compass. On the other hand, I can get a nice air integrated console with compass and quick disconnect for abou $500. That's approaching double for a wrist version.

So I may have no choice but to go console now.

The way I went was with a puck in my console (TUSA console with the IQ700).. The benefit I see is that eventually, when I get another computer, I will always be diving with 2.. so I have backup built into my plan here.

Wrist mount ... no question.
