The Admiral bought me a E-620 and I need a memory card for it. I see that I can get 32GB 233X cards for $90.

My 16GB 133X works fine in my E-420, and it seems the 233X cards write faster.

But I also see reviews that show that CF cards can write from 8MB to 19MB a second. Pretty big spread.

I figure 32GB will give me plenty for jpg+raw, and room for some short video clips as well..

Wow. No comments?

I did get this Centon Advanced 233X 35MB/s 32GB CF card in.

If I set the E-620 to manual shutter, 4000, and continuous, and LF+Raw, it takes 5 pictures before it slows down writing to the CF card. If I change to SN, it pretty much shoots forever. LF and I get 6-7 pics, and Raw I get 5-6 pics.

I'll have to try it with my 16GB 133X CF card and see what it does.

Well....this is a series of statements, no questions asked so not really much to respond to. :dontknow:

There is LINK speed test for some body with different cards and it's looks like 133x is optimun card for E620 becous body couldn't write faster.

Vladimir,

Excellent info. I found a site that talked about everything but Oly. I did run the 133X CF card in the E-620, and did not see any difference to the naked eye.

Which pretty much confirms your comments and the comments on the link you posted.

I can't imagine using up 32GB anyway, I never did 16Gb in one day, but thought if I switched to video for some reason it would become useful.

Good stuff.
