Designed for the most discriminating underwater videographer, the MC-HC1 is a rugged, reliable, high quality and very cost effective Marine Case for the Sony HDR-HC1 compact High Definition camcorder.
Suitable for wet weather, water sports, and underwater video applications to depths of 80 meters/275 feet, it is compact, easy to set up, and easy to use. Supplied with our new high resolution wide angle conversion lens it provides extreme wide angle of view – for dramatically clearer, more colorful underwater pictures. The dome port optical system corrects for distortions and abberrations that would otherwise occur, yet true, magnified macro and zooming functions are still possible. An optional underwater color correction filter is also available that restores a natural color balance, providing rich saturated colors - even at depth.

One of the most important features of the MC-HC1 is the use of patented X-ring seal technology. The X-ring seal provides double sealing for extremely high reliability. Clear endplates allow the user to clearly see the seals to easily verify that the seal has been made - before entering the water - and throughout the dive. The clear backplate also provides superior visibility of the camera’s LCD screen which is opened inside the housing for exceptional visibility over enclosed aluminum housings and makes an accessory LCD unnecessary. The housing also provides excellent functionality for the camera’s 2.8 megapixel still mode.

• Ultra Compact, Professional High Def underwater video system
• X-ring double main seals for High reliability.
• Clear 1” Acrylic Endplates for Full visibility of main seals.
• High resolution, fully corrected, Dome port underwater optics.
• Heavy wall high grade PVC cylindrical main body combines the most pressure resistant design with a rugged and completely corrosion proof material.
• Stainless steel closure clamps provide quick and easy installation and removal of the camcorder, with a spring loaded safety locking feature, to prevent accidental opening.
• Complete control of major video camera functions, as well as 2.8 megapixel camera function.
