:octopus:Hi I just finished an amazing week of blazing nitrox at the Comox-Campbell River wrecks. They where the HMCS Columbia and the SS Capilano. Also we dove Steep Island, April Point wall at Quadra Island. Then the north side of Coppercliffs called Rock Piles, eagles played above us there. When we dove the Capilano we did our surface interval at Vivian Island and had quite a show from the sea lions and seals. Also eagles where hanging out there. We did these dives with Pacific Pro Dive. Bill is the owner, he is absolutely the most dialed in underwater explorer on the west coast. Amazing wealth of knowledge. He has his hand in so many dive issues it made my head spin. He made us feel really safe on his boat, ATA TUDE, a beauty. We then went down to Nanaimo and dove the Cape Breton and HMCS Saskatchewan. We where guided by Vel Wilson, a collegue of Bills'. She is also an amazing wealth of knowledge. It was my first cold water dives. My first ocean dives with my drysuit. The lds I went down with is Northwest Scuba from Edmonton. Brian Miles is my instructor, a great guy, too calm for me. I am finishing my master diver scuba challenge. What an amazing week. The animals and aquatic sightings where mind blowing. I love the tropics, this was way different. My hats' off to the dive shops of Vancouver Island they pretty much look after all the sunken ships and put up all the bouys on their own. No help from the government whatsoever. A shame. But the crew I dove with all admit that few other dive outfits fit this bill. Way to go Pacific Pro Dive. Much thanks kevin.

Glad you had a good trip! I'd really like to get back up to Vancouver Island and dive the Nanaimo wrecks again -- maybe this summer.

Did he tell you that?

sorry didnt mean to hurt your feelings, no he didnt, just a call. Several people that teach and dive tech where taught by him, they also feel he is highly qualified. I did not mean to leave out all the other highly trained west coast instructors. He just gave me a sense of incredible knowledge and high values in his craft. When I was doing my surface interval around town and told people who I was diving with not one person had anything less than high praise for his skills and knowledge of the area.

Next time you see him ask him about the time we towed him back in from Quadra when he had Marty Snyderman on board.

His boat broke down and you helped him, this is a bad thing?
