Underwater diving was practiced in ancient cultures to gather food and other valuable resources such as pearls and precious coral, and later to reclaim sunken valuables, and to help aid military campaigns. Breathhold diving was the only method available, occasionally using reed snorkels in shallow water, and stone weights for deeper dives.

His doctoral dissertation was on a famous author of the old south
So he was very knowledgeable on the gentleman's life.

One day he reviewed the individual's history in Wikipedia
Wrong! All Wrong

His first assignments for his incoming freshmen class were to go to Library to research the life of this famous author and present a paper.

Many returned to their dormitories. looked up the information on Wikipedia and wrote their papers, all based on false and misleading information. But there was also a segment who followed instructions went to the large Cal Poly research library for their information.

One segment failed the other received As--
