There was a recall last year of that . The inflator valve was capable of getting stuck, with risk the BCD would inflate and you could find yourself headed to the surface in a hurry (not good).

Make sure it's been fixed in the one you buy, for certain if you're buying a used one.

Thanks for pointing out the recall. Fortunately, my BC is OK; but, I didn't notice the recall until you pointed it out.

I purchased the Sherwood folding snorkel. The Avid has a convenient pouch designed specifically for this snorkel.

The snorkel itself has kind of a cheap feel to it, but it worked fine the one time I felt I needed a snorkel.

I hate wearing a snorkel on my mask, but I worried that the folding snorkel would be awkward to grab in a hurry. When I came across a situation where I needed my snorkel, I found the pouch convenient and the snorkel attached to my mask easily and worked OK.
