Lost_At_Sea:
My fiancee and I have made up my mind to go to Belize for our honeymoon, and I was looking at staying at Roman's Village. Does anyone have any comments good or bad about the resort? Can anyone offer any comments about the diving there, and what to see and what not to see? Thanks ya'll.
I'm guessing that your are talking about "Ramon's Village". I attended a conference on Ambergris Cay in March of 2005. Stayed at the Sunbreeze hotel, next door to Ramon's. Although I didn't see the rooms at Ramon's myself, the general feeling was, "the rooms are nice, but for the price you'd expect more". I think you are paying a little extra for the ambiance. The Sunbreeze was nice, but in reality is only a "hotel room". Not much room for moving around. Great food and pool though. Feel free to PM me if you want any more specifics or info on the lodging research we've done.
I'll be returning again this March, and found the following websites very helpful. On Ambergris cay lodging,

In general we really enjoyed our stay on Ambergris. We spend 10 days diving with Protech.
http://www.ambergriscaye.com/protech/ I can strongly promote their shop, as well as Amigo's Del Mar. I preferred Protech for their small groups, great service, and good dive masters. On one day it was only my wife and I diving, and they still took us out. Amigos is also top notch. We dove with them for the long day trips (Blue Hole and Turneffe) as they have a great Pro48 boat for the rougher water. Divemasters are also well trained. All the better dive shops will pick you up from any pier in the San Pedro area for diving.
As far as "what do you see", here's a link to my Belize Photo gallery. With exception for a small album on Loreto Mexico, the rest of the pictures are of diving in Belize
