Coming on Wed and i'm worried...

I'm going to be at the occidental grand for a week starting on wed and i'm worried i'm not going to be able to get any dives in due to the weather. How is the diving down there now and will the rainy weather close out the diving? I'm not afraid of getting wet in the rain, but will the boats still be operating? and what about the vis? or am i just being paranoid? this will be my first time diving mexico, and my first time in the Caribbean this time of year.

Not to worry. A "chance of thunderstorms" is not unusual. I have stayed at the OG with that forecast all week and saw storms move through every day but never got wet. It should not effect diving but may stir up the shore waters and limit snorkeling off the beach.

Hey there, there is a few different options to dive here, I´m shure your dive operator can tell you about it, I´ve been teaching and conducting groups of divers for over 32 years and every year we have this issues, the good thing is that you can dive anyway, there is Playa del Carmen, Cozumel or Cenotes, by the time you get here thereis going to be a could front (Norte) and there is not going to rain to much, the problem it will be the wind, but, like I said there is some options, in case you haven´t not a reservation to dive, let me know and we can work it out.
