color/spectrum attenuation and depth relationship

hey, I'm looking for some information on the relationship between spectral absorption of sea water and depth. I'm sure it's dependent and many, many factors, but I'm looking to see if there are some recent research done on this that I can read on the net. Particularly interested in finding a mathematical model to relate wavelength (color), turbidity/visibility, and depth.

any info appreciated!
