cold water regs

can anyone tell me which regs are best for cold water...thinking of buing a sherwood blizzard..

Go to the regulator forum and using the Search in this forum function type freeze. This will bring up a lot of posts on regulator freeze, which is what you want to avoid.

Freeflow or free flow should work too.

I just asked this question few weeks ago. The consensus was to choose between: Apeks ATX50/100/200, Aqualung Legend/Titan LX Supreme, Mares MR22 Abyss, Poseidon Jetstream and Sherwood Blizzard/Maximus.

I dive with the Aqualung Legend LX. I have never noticed any problems diving in the low 50's in Monterey. Great reg, bit pricey though.

I think the poster from Ontario is talking COLD water...
Diving here at this time of year the water is low 30's F ....
We've had the reg freezing discussion many times...
Sunday on a dive....( 33deg F )...we had no freeflow problems with any of the Blizzards or the new Atomic M1...
Very big difference in price.....
Try them both & decide which one is for you ....

I use the Sherwood Maximus and have not encountered any problems with it during ice diving. I was ice diving with it a few weeks ago with an air temp of 0 and a water temp of 36. No problems with icing or free flow.
