Our adventure to Cocos Island began with a very quiet and sunny crossing, which allowed the guests plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine, sea breeze, and take photos of dolphins as they rode the bow wave (always a fun activity).
A rainy morning accompanied us on our check-out dive to Chatham Bay (tiger shark territory), where one group saw a tiger shark and the other saw a Galapagos shark. The sun came out just in time for our next dives to Manuelita. Hundreds of hammerheads swam all around Manuelita Island and there were even a few Galapagos sharks in the mix.
Dirty Rock and Alcyone were the standouts this week. They were simply spectacular. Both sites had big schools of hammerheads and gigantic schools of jacks that accompanied us during the safety stops. In addition to the outstanding hammer action, we also had a dive at Alcyone with blacktips, dolphins, and silkies.

What more can we say? The Island was amazing, full of hammerheads, Galapagos, turtles, thousands of fish, sunny days and a group of cheerful divers enjoying every minute both in and out of the water!
