I got a Salvo 10w fixed focus light for xmas and have a question about clipping off the light head, specifically where should I attach bolt snap(s).

I've attached one at the cable end of the light head, so that I can clip it off and have the light shining downwards and have hands-free illumination of anything I'm working on with both hands.

I'm wondering if this is also appropriate for stowage, given that using this clip the cable makes sort of a loop, exiting the back of the light head upwards (towards my face) then back down again. Or should I attach another clip at the front of the light head so that I can stow it with the cable running straight down my body?

I have two loops of bungee and use a double ender. I don't have any clips attached to the light head. I have one loop where the cord attaches to the back of the light head and then one on the goodman handle. That way I can hang it either light up or light down.

I bought the light used and the previous owner had it rigged that way. It's worked well for me, so I've kept it that way.

Divin'Hoosier's method works very well. One O-ring near the rear of the head and one off the goodman handle. Then you can put the double-ender on either one.

You will need an attachment point off the goodman handle to secure the light when not in use. You don't want the lighthead dangling from the rear attachment point unless it's actually in use.

a small snap at the light head or handle and a bungee loop at the cord. The bungee loop is used with a double ender to shine down. The handle/head snap is for storing/shining forward. Pull the cord in under your belt and you have absolutely NO dangling bits.
