Recently I aquired a nice set of circa 1978 galvanized 72's. The exterior surface of both tanks is relatively clean but there are however some balck tank band marks, etc. that I wish to clean up. I don't care to do anything too radical but would like to clean them up and make them look nice. Any suggestions? Someone told me to use Scotch Brite Cleaner. Thanks for your response. Bob S

Just don't used anything containing any type acid. Scotch Brite pad with soapand water should remove the marks or try laquer thinner on a rag.
