Class starts next week

Hi all. Starting class next week along with my wife and son. My daughter has been certified for a few years and we're going to Kauai in March so I thought it would be fun if we could all go on a dive there. I've always liked hanging out at the bottom of the swimming pool so I'm expecting this to be pretty awesome. I also have a recurring dream where I can breathe underwater so I suppose you could say this will be living my dreams!

Related: I live in the East Valley part of the Phoenix metro. Any idea why the final class OW dives on this side of town all seem to be over at Lake Pleasant instead of going to Saguaro (or even Canyon Lake or Roosevelt)? Is it a depth thing related to safe diving areas or something?

Welcome to diving!

We dive frequently in Kauai; I’d recommend Fathom Five diving as they have great guides and small groups. Ask for Julie to be your guide, and request a dive at the Sheraton Caverns site. The shore dive from Koloa Landing is also great.
