I just purchased the Hyper Aqualand Dive watch and it came with a docking station that has a 25 pin connection! I purchased an adapter to squeeze it down to a normal USB but I can't get it to recognize anything. Has anyone else had this problem? I purchased a new laptop and all it has is USB ports! Seems as though Citizen needs to move into the 21st century. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is your computer recognizing the USB? Do you need to install software?

The USB dongle will use a "virtual" com port that might be too high for the software (it can only go up to com 5 and the dongle can go up to com 18 or more) change the settings in the device manager to com 2-3-4-5 or whatever your computer does not already use and make sure the download software is set to the same......otherwise the Citizen cradle + USB dongle works just fine :D

Sorry I can't answer your question but I hope you don't mind me hopping onto your thread with another Citizen watch question.
I just bought a Citizen Eco-Drive Aqualand (BJ200009E) & was wondering if anyone has experience with it? (I'm not really crazy about the battery charge state/depth indicator hand that appears to be a sweep 2nd hand but I'll just have to get used to it)
Things like:
How accurate is the depth gauge function?
How long will a full charge last?
Any other comments

Thanks

I have had my Citizen Hyper Aqualand (MA9024-24E) for quite a few years (6+) with no problems, in fact I use it as my backup and only on my 2nd battery. There is a slight difference between the watch and the DC in terms of depth but that has to do with salt/fresh water calibration.

They are good watches, as a matter of fact I just picked up a St-Moritz Nereos - also made my Citizen (thanks Phil :D)

What is this battery charge/depth indicator you speak of, I could not see it on the image.

I've had mine for over 15 years and it rarely comes off my wrist except on dry dives when I put it on my BC hose.

It has been through two authorized battery changes, one that I did myself and this last time I had it rebuilt. For the rebuild it cost right at a hundred bucks but It came back like a new watch. As far as I know it just may have been a new one.

Over my diving career this is the watch I have had the longest and the one I have been the happiest with. Enjoy it.

BUT remember that most models are not dive computers, they are just good dive watches.

The indicator does not like to seem to go to the fully charged position very often. I have never had a issue, if you start the day with the indicator fully charged and make three dives, as long as it is reasonably light out. It will go down to the first charge level and stay there sometimes.

Regarding accuracy, it is at least as good as my oceanic computer.

I like it a lot, just make sure to keep it charged and it works amazingly well. Mine is a couple of years old and it seem to be charging better now than when new (stiff perhaps).

In winter, make sure to give it some extra light, as the days are short and office light is not very bright.

Hope yours works as well as mine.

It is the large orange hand that looks like a 2nd hand in the picture here:
