Porbeagle sharks, manta rays, oceanic white tip sharks, and hammerhead sharks were placed on CITES Appendix II (restricted trade) due to the decisions made at CoP16. Proud to have been part of that critical success, the Sea Save Foundation team is working harder than ever to be sure even more threatened and endangered species receive the critical protection that they need to survive. For CoP17, the Sea Save Team is supporting the proposals for Silky Sharks, Thresher Sharks and Mobula Rays to be listed on Appendix II.
