Cisco?

Hi guys,

I'm after a certain Cisco item. I found Prob-Solve Solutions on Google - Cisco Switches - Cisco Catalyst 3550-12G (WS-C3550-12G) . Has anyone used them? I haven't heard about them before, does anyone know if they're any good?

Also, kind of odd your first post on a scuba website would be to ask about a Cisco switch!?!?

As stated above, depends on what you're using them for...
If you're doing any routing, the 3550 is pretty weak. If it's straight Layer 2, and you need VLAN, sflow, RMON, etc., forget the Cisco and take a look at the HP 2810. Cheaper, more functionality, and lifetime warranty...

dont stop at the HP then...might as well go after the Linksys..or even a Netgear.

Certainly... assuming you want a consumer product, as opposed to an enterprise class product...
