Many divers/tourists are taking the sleeper from Bangkok to Chumphon and then onward to the three islands in the Gulf. I did it one time yrs ago. Lomprayah used to have a small office right by the exit of Chumphon Railway Station but it is not the case anymore. It has moved about 300m down the right hand side of the station. I am pretty sure there will be rep aiding any would be customers coming on the sleeper.

I’ve often thought of going that route, but my flight times never seem to work out. The Lomprayah VIP bus isn’t bad and slightly cheaper. Not that the price difference in £ is that much.
2nd class sleeper even with freezing cold AC is better than a VIP bus. And it is a relatively long journey as well. Flight arrival time and the subsequent connection is always a tricky issue to plan ahead.
I just bought a 2nd class reserved AC seat from Chumphon to Prachuap Khiri Khan(11:18) for B308.00. There is a ordinary train departing at 07:15 and the 3rd class unreserved seat is about B80.00. But I want a wee bit of comfort in this trip.
