So last year this was what we experienced, things could be very different. You will want to have dinner reservations for Christmas Eve lots of places close. Those that are open seem to do 2 seatings 6-8 and have a set menu.
After 10 town seems almost dead as everyone goes to family gatherings and presents are exchanged at midnight.
Christmas Day again lots of everything closed with some opening around 6 pm.
There was the carnival in the park, some music and food stands for a week or so prior to Christmas. Lots of decorating around town. But Christmas is very family oriented, we were very excited to be welcomed to our friends family Christmas in their home.
That made for a very special experience fir us.

That's beautiful. We are renting a house so we will be doing Christmas dinner for ourselves and anyone else we can convince to come over for Pakistani barbecue. Hint, hint, hint.... I wonder if the cinema will be open. Either way, our family will be together and that's really all that matters.
