I tried a forum search for this topic but came up empty. My Wife and I will be boating in Georgian Bay at the end of the month and we want to dive the wrecks around Christian Island. Does anyone have a good reference for the area - either web or book based? GPS coordinates are always a big help.

Also, any other good dive locations we should head for in the area? We will be out for at least 2 weeks and will cover a lot of ground so everything from Tobermory to Killarny is game!!

There's a fair chance we may be heading over to the Christian Island area on the Sept long weekend. With a little luck I can get the Friday off too.
Chris Kohl's book has approx locations for the wrecks around Christian. I've also been searching for Lat/Long (GPS) but no luck so far.
If you might be in that area around the long weekend and interested in connecting (2 boats/more divers can search an area faster), post or PM me the name of your boat. Ours is a 26 foot sail boat called "Luff Affair" white hull, wide blue stripe at the hull deck join.

If you go to www.geodiving.com and click on locations you will find the GPS coords for the Christian Island wrecks. Also ,Hope island has some nice wrecks.Look for the Mapledawn, Michigan Thomas Cranage,Lottie Wolf.

Excellent resource simcoediver! I had found the names of some wrecks, http://www.vaxxine.com/nda/divesites/pentang.html, but I was having a really hard time finding the particular locations.

Groundhog - would love to hook up but I'm not at all sure when we will hit the area. We will be out from August 24 - Sept 9 and we will be all over the bay. If you listen out on 16, I will try and call if we are around Christian on the long weekend. We are a 30ft Wellcraft Express, White with a blue stripe, named Bee Aye Aye.
