Being this was my first trip with my 5 year old, I wasn't sure what to expect on a dive trip.

Conclusions:
1. A dive boat is not a good place for little one.s Although a couple places were willing to take my kid out, I wouldn't recommend it.

2. A lot of the bigger hotels do have nanny clubs, but a lot of the hours are not good/early enough for a 2 tank morning dive and not long enough for a 2 tank afternoon. It is possible to negotiate an early opening or there are nannies that will come to the hotel. I showed my hotel the dive schedule and we worked out a plan for the week. Personally, I felt more comfortable with the club opening early instead of inviting a stranger into my room alone with my child.

3. If anyone plans to travel with kids, check your hotel for a nanny club. If not available, then check the big boys (Hilton, etc.) some allow non guest to use their services.

Hope this helps others,
J
