Congratulations! You should be proud of that feat...

Congratulations! Too bad you couldn't have made it 600 ;)

A few years back I had to go to a training school in Des Planes which is a small community out side of Chicago. I met some other fellows of my age from different parts of the country who were also part of the class.

In the evening we decided to take the train into Chicago since none of us had ever been there before. A couple of the guys never rode a train before.

The conductor was a friendly guy. He brought us to the engine to let us see that. We asked him where there would be a place to go for a beer and a sandwich when we got to the station.

He said, "When you get out of the station stay right. If you go left you will be dead."

I think the thing that makes this distinction special is that the ballots were cast by the locals themselves, and not some "not from around here"s who were trying to rig the results.

[Did I say ballots or bullets?]

Take heart Jeps ... looks like you only beat NYC by three ... so there is always next year.

Look at it this way, statistically speaking, your about seven times more likely to get wacked living in Chicago than you are to kill yourself diving. That should make you feel much better about diving! :)
