The pictures are very nice though I would prefer longer sequences

Enjoyed your video...how I miss Thailand :(

My daughter was thinking of taking a Video Course on Koh Tao ...

Who did you do yours with?

How long what it?

What where some of your covered topics?

Did you use their equipment or your own?

Right now she is working on her nursing program; but later she might have the time to get back to UW Video.

Thanks for sharing,

~Oldbear~

I also enjoyed it and second what Ronscuba said. I also enjoyed the surface, underwater, fish, surface, beach, underwater, ship etc. This only my opinion but I would use much different music. Really? A sad song like The Carpenter's "Rainy Days and Mondays." Lastly, not too sure if that tutle was out swimming you but very seldom did you get to all of him. <Most of the time half the body or limbs were out of the frame. Good work and I truly could do no better.

Beautiful

great video, thanks for posting.

I must say that this is pretty high quality for what I would expect from someone that just finished a videography specialty course. I am guessing that this was either a pretty intense course, or you had some skill already going into it.

Nice. I like the variety. Sea life, angles, wide, medium, macro, split. What camera are you using ?

Thanks! I was shooting a couple Sony Handycams with Gates housings.

I did my course with Liquid Media. Andi was an awesome instructor and knew where to find literally everything on all of the dive sites.

The course is 2 weeks and there is a free 2 week internship afterwards (you need to be a divemaster to do the internship). The internship focuses more on doing open water checkout videos and then presenting and selling them to the divers. I didn't have time to do the full internship so I focused on making the best reel possible but it seemed like the other people doing it were learning a lot.

It was a very hands on course with no real "classroom" other than the dive sites and the editing studio. You learn camera set up, underwater housing care, editing with professional programs, camera moves, swimming techniques, buoyancy and breathing control in relation to videography (which really increased and honed my buoyancy control, in general), etc.

They have all of the camera and editing equipment you need. As far as you own dive gear, you are required to have your own set up.

Hope that helps.

Actually, it's a bit of both. I am a videographer / editor here on dry land and the course itself is 2 weeks with an optional 2 week internship. It isn't your standard videography certification and, unfortunately, none of the dive agencies offer professional levels of videography, so this course gives you the examples to show your worth.
