We're headed to Cayman in late August. I can't find decent airfare out of BWI. So far, the cheapest I've seen it, for 3 people, is ~$1,500.00, (that's the total). I've been searching on Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, etc, which, incidentally, don't seem to find any better prices than I do on my own.

American Airlines is the cheapest right now, and Delta and Air Jamaica are the most expensive. Last week, the prices on AJ jumped $472.00!! I realize it's 5 months out and prices fluctuate. I'm afraid if I book now, that the prices will drop. Any advice, tips or suggestions, that you Cayman experts can give, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Headed to GC and LittleC in March. US Airways has flights through Charlotte to GC that are scheduled fairly well to save time. March is still somewhat in season, so they are a bit higher, but are $338 plus $95.30 in taxes and fees, not too bad. They are from IAD. Hope this helps. John

As an aside...I wouldn't use any of the secondary operations like Orbitz...
You can get cheaper prices by going direct to Continental, AA, Delta...whatever...

I got better prices with less connections by going thru Continental direct than using Travelocity and better departure times as well...

And that really shows up on hotel reservations...

For example Hotels.com was hitting us for $10 a night higher than the direct booking thru Comfort Inn's website...

Amen! I've always booked my airfare directly thru the airlines sites. This is the first, and last time that I'll try Orbitz, Expedia, etc. Thus far, I haven't seen any advantage using them, over the airlines web-sites directly. I'll keep pluggin away. Thanks!

Sample fare of $386.25 round trip per person, all taxes included on Spirit Air with connection in FLL
Dates tested Sat Aug 26 to Sat Sept 2
Depature from Reagan National (DCA)
Connection times look sweet

I don't think that Spirit will show up on Orbitz and Travelocity
