Hi,

Me and my husband are going for a liveaboard in north Sulawesi, and would like to stay for another 4 days after around Bunaken area (or even Lembeh) to dive some more and relax before going back home.
The cheapest offer we've got is 35 euro per person, per day, including all meals and accommodation.
Are there any cheapest places around?
We're looking for something which is also a nice place to chill out, close to the beach (is there a possibility for even a sea view at the cheaper rates?) and has a dive center there or nearby.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

There are a number of places on Bunaken itself. Suggest you look at www.divefroggies.com who have been there for years - run by Christiane Muller. The food is fab - fusion French and Indonesian. Very chilled, simple cottages, beautfiul views, beautiful beach and well-experienced dive staff. The diving is just off the beach. Christiane is French - and you will meet all nationalities there - they speak good english. Christiane was right in the forefront of pioneering diving in the Bunaken Marine Park.

If you want to chill out and soak up the atmosphere - and the price is in your range.

Hi
I went last year to Bunaken and was at Two Fish Divers (www.twofishdivers.com). Very cheap, wonderful dives and boat crew. But ... you have to book the luxury room or it will be too much "simple". Not so much clean, not so much eat (not quantity, not variety), not so much entertaintment, not so much supervision, ... We loved it because the dives and boat crew but if we had to come back, we will change of resort. Otherwise, they were building a new resort and maybe this information is out of date! Bunaken is amazing, worth going there!

Hello Shiri,
Since you also mentioned Lembeh, our place Divers Lodge Lembeh might be an idea:
The following all in rates are based on two persons per bungalow. The prices are included transfers, bungalow, all meals, snacks and non alcoholic bottled beverages, laundry service, use of computer and cd-rom burner, two dives by boat per day and tax.
4 nights, 3 days diving: Euro 289,50, none limit diving Euro 59,- extra.
6 nights, 5 days diving: Euro 444,50, none limit diving Euro 95,- extra.
7 nights, 6 days of diving Euro 516, -, none limit diving 114, - extra
11 nights, 10 days diving: Euro 787, - , none limit diving Euro 189,- extra.
Even in the high season never more than two guests per guide.
None limit diving really means diving as often and as long as you want by own boat for you and your buddy.
Best view from your bungalow you can find on North Sulawesi.
