Charger recommendation

Hi. I just bought it a TG-7 camera and housing bundle. I’m wanting to get an external charger. Can you recommend one that is reliable but doesn’t break the bank?? Thx in advance.

Well that depends on how big your bank is lol
I'd get an original one, it's a small cost in the overall picture.

There is no "original" one; it just charges via a USB-C connector on the camera The TG7 manuals says, "The battery inside the camera can be charged by connecting the camera to a commercially available USB device using a USB cable."

There is a footnote in the manual: "Charging time varies greatly depending on the types of USB devices. USB devices that supportan output of 7.5 W (5 V/1.5 A) are recommended. Some USB devices may not be used to charge camera batteries via USB. For details, refer to the documentation provided with the USB device."

Pretty much any modern charger will provide 7.5 W (5 V/1.5 A), via a USB-A or a USB-C jack. Nothing special about the charger or the cable. The special things a full-up USB-C power system can do (other voltages, etc) are not implemented in the TG-7.

The OMS UC-92 is the correct batter charger. I would use only OMS batteries. I have never had good luck with any aftermarket battery in any camera and I have tried most all of them at one time or another. Use only the manufacturers batteries and chargers for best life and results.

That is possible.
I find it unclear from his OP whether his goal is to charge the battery out of the camera or to charge the battery while it is still in the camera. I decided the latter, so talked about USB-C. If the former -- out of the camera -- then the UC-92 is the original OEM charger. But other chargers work fine. I prefer the 2- or 3-bay chargers so I can charge a full day's worth of batteries overnight. Other chargers will also work, and one with 2 or 3 charging bays is much more convenient.
To help clarify, I found the OP ambiguous as to what he was asking. I decided he wanted to charge the battery in the camera.
Y'all seem to think he means to charge the battery out of the camera. Fine. The UC92 will indeed work, one battery at a time. I prefer to charge 2-3 at a time so I can have one charging station going overnight on a dive trip, and not do one battery at a time.

I'd suggest use external battery charger instead of in-camera charger. I'd be safer for the electronics in the camera if there's power surge, especially when we go out diving in remote area or on a vessel.
I'd also suggest look on your local online shopping web/app to find charger for 'Olympus LI-90 or LI92'. Also agree with some others above to get a 2-3 bay charger so you can have multiple spare battery.

I’ve used chargers from Wasabi Power for several different cameras over the years and haven’t had any issues. Seems to work as well as the original battery and charger. They come with multiple slot options and sometimes bundled with both charger and battery. I get them through Amazon.
