Changing personal profile

i can't change my profile,
i've been through all the options but the one that lets you say who certed you,
where your from and all that, it's gone
anyone got any idea has to what i should do???...

sorry i may have worded my post funny,
when i try to change my profile through the user control panel, the edit botton is missing...
so everything that's in my profile has to stay that way...
i hope i've been abit clearer...
