The weather’s heating up and so is Chamber Day activity. Apologies for being a day late with this event update but it was a busy day yesterday

We are 12 days away from Chamber Day 2020 which is obviously going to have a very different feel this year. But we seem to be holding our own in the various areas and that’s good. Usually in the final two weeks before the event, the pace of signups picks up and hopefully that’s the case this year as well.

BTW, in addition to these updates, we also do a 10-minute Facebook Live video update every Friday at 3PM PDT and another one Monday at 3PM. If you don’t catch the live feeds, they’re recorded and available for viewing on the Chamber FB page as soon as they’re finished.

We are also finalizing plans to allow those interested in extra raffle tickets to buy them since we obviously won’t see any of you in-person to hound you . . . I mean, convince you . . . that you need more. The short version is that you’ll send us an e-mail telling us how many additional raffle tickets you want and we’ll call you back to arrange payment. We will announce more details on Monday but the cutoff for buying more tickets will be Saturday, May 2, at 6PM. And since everything is virtual this year, instead of mailing you tickets, everything will be on an Excel spreadsheet and we’ll use a random-number generator to pull the winners and their prizes.

How will you know who won what? Well, we also plan to LIVE-STREAM Chamber Eve on Wednesday, May 6. Most likely it will be done as a Zoom gathering. From 7-8PM we’ll be running acknowledgements for sponsors and others, and then we’ll go LIVE 8-9PM with our usual Chamber Eve program that includes the raffle, thank yous and acknowledgments, blind bid winners, and presentation of the final check to Karl Huggins. Make plans to tune in.

In the meantime, we keep chugging along and are hoping to hear from you if we haven’t already. Get involved with one or more aspects of Chamber Day 2020. The direct link to our sign-up page is: https://dornsife.usc.edu/chamberday/signup-link/.
