Another day with a big leap forward.
This time it comes in memory of Dr. Jeff Sipsey, the longtime medical director the our Chamber. Jeff was not a diver – in fact, he thought what we did was a little bits nuts – but was fascinated by hyperbarics and was only too eager to not only treat divers who go t in trouble, but also understand better the mechanics of what people get bent and the psychology of why people hold their breath and embolise so as to help prevent these accidents in the future. Dr. Sipsey was a key element in making our Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber the leader in the field that it is today and we appreciate this donation that recognizes that.
You might also note that the donor is listed as “anonymous.” If there’s a reason you’d rather not publicize your identity when you make a donation, we’re fine with that. You can note it on the donation form or simply send Karl or myself a note. Your secret is safe with us.
We also need to add one housekeeping note which is that we misspelled Mike Couffer’s last name (one “f ” instead of two) previously and we have rectified that today.
