I'm heading to the central coast this weekend for a family vacation; beach combing, kite flying, clam chowdering... I'm well acquainted with the area from Cayucos to Pismo, but have never done any shore diving in that region. I'm tempted to bring my gear for a shore dive, but have heard that the conditions aren't so good. Have any of you had any experience with shore dives there? I've camped/ fished Montana de Oro before, and have thought that the diving might be adequate, but would like to hear from someone who has dove there.
Thanks, JAW
