Cell phone rental

I would like to have a cell phone during my trip to Bonaire next week and
i would like to know if there is a place like Digicel where i can rent one for a week?
any idea about prices ?

Michael and his employees at Chat and Browse are the way to go for cell phone rental and internet. Chat and Browse is located near the Sand Dollar resort. When you rent the phone you purchase minutes which they will "load" on to your phone. Calls to the States are fairly reasonable this way --- I find the phone uses up minutes for local calls around Bonaire faster. Wish I could say I remember the price but I don't! The cards come in a variety of denominations however.

Michael is your man for all your phone and computer needs on Bonaire. Nice fellow and my go to person on island if I need something. If he does not have it, he knows who does.

If your phone has a SIM card (small little chip, usually in the battery compartment), and you've been with your provider for about two years, you might visit your local office beforehand and ask for them to "unlock" your US phone. Then, when you get to Bonaire, purchase a local SIM that has a pay-as-you-go plan. Pop that SIM into your phone and you're good to go. Usually for very little money i.e. ~$20 for SIM and a good amount of minutes.
