CBC TV anyone

CBC TV is having a 2 hr special on Iraq tonight. Now I know CNN has 23.5 hrs per day on it but CBC is more likely to have a "balanced" approach to the issue. Anyone out there in the Multichannel Universe heres the Web page address with the info

BTW CBC is one of the best things we did up here esp. CBC Radio and Radio Canada the French service.

What i like about CBC radio is if there is something you dont like wait it will change in 10 min. Hell its the only opportunity I would ever get to listen to Classical music. Cause this ole guy dont listen otherwise and this way I get small doses of couth injected into my otherwise uncultured brain.

BTW I listen while I prune for about 6 hrs a day

It's great to listen and hear what's going on in B.C or Newfoundland or Nunavut it brings us closer.

You know when Don Herron ( Don H also played a character on Hee Haw at the time) was replaced by Peter Z. I thought damn it will never be as good....Peter Z was incredible, different than Don but great...Then when Morningside was terminated I thought damn it will never be as good...it changed and it is different but its starting to grow on me. If any of our neighbors to the south get a chance listen to CBC radio on cbc.ca It is what public media should be.

I don't know if it's still on but my favourite program was the Vinyl Cafe. The stories were hilarious enough to get me up on a Sunday morning when I was in University. If you've never experienced it, do a search on Kazaa. They're on the net.

man that is a great show he also has a series of books out from the show by the same name. They are a great xmas gift too, Ya seem smart and erudite as a result what a scam eh. You know the Dave stories from the record store. Heheh went to a live tapping last fall its even better live alot of unrecorded chatter. also Quirks and Quarks on Saturdays...Saturday night blues is wonderful even if you dont like blues...On sunday I almost never miss DNYO "Definetly not the Opera"

CBC as much as everyone complains about CBC, is a great Canadian icon. DiveDude I agree, I love to hear what is going on in different parts of my country. I want to not only hear the bad, but the good. What are my Canadian brothers and sisters in the north, west and east thinking and doing day to day.

The programming is second to none, and not overdone. A variety of tunes (when they are played). I rarely listen to "music" radio. 95 % of the time "talk" radio. More interesting.

I fsomeone is bored with CBC, I guess they aren't listening.

It's the way radio used to be before it degenerated
into M&M. CBC TV is one of our regular cable channels
and I don't think of it being Canadian or anything else.
Just Northern oriented programing...sort of NPR but
fun.
