My family is thinking about visiting Cayman Brac this June, but our only concern is the fact that its the rainy season and the average rainfall is 8.5" in June. Are the rainstorms in June the typical Caribbean 1-hour rainstorms or is there a good chance we will have days that are total washouts?

I have a 6-year old that loves the beach, thus the reason for my concern about the rain.

I have been to Little Cayman 3 times now during August. I think that August would be in the rainy season. As I recall, we got a fair bit of rain at night a number of times. There were numerous rain squalls during the day which you could see off shore. If they hit, they could be pretty heavy but they were moving so they lasted less than 1 hour.
