Saturday
We departed our home dock for a cruise just a few miles up the coast to our first dive site. Sitting on the sundeck enjoying a beautiful sunset while having dinner was a great way to start a week of Eating, Sleeping and Diving.

Sunday
Our first dive of the week was Doc Poulson. The wreck sits in 50 feet of clear, warm Caribbean water and always plenty of critters to find, including out resident Green Eel, Giant Mutton Snapper. However, the treat of this first dive was 3 Spotted Eagle Rays, just a few feet from us feeding in the sand. The wreck of the Kittiwake was our afternoon site here we got the chance to explore the newest wreck in the Caribbean. 270 long US Navy submarine rescue vessel sank in Jan 2011 made for a great afternoon of diving exploring all 4 decks, an Eagle Ray and Turtle were enjoyed as well as several brown Seahorses. It was fun on the night dive to be able to go from the reef to the wreck and back to the reef. We saw Channel Clinging Crabs, Sleeping Turtles, Lobsters and an array of colorful corals and sponges.

Monday
Our first dive site was Big Tunnels. Here we enjoyed swim through along the edge of the wall. This site is an excellent place to take video and pictures of large Deep Water Fans. We had Turtles, Crabs, schools of fish and we loved swimming thru those big tunnels and canyons. Killa Puffa was the afternoon & night dive site, a beautiful shallow reef with plenty of friendly critters made for great afternoon and night, hanging just under the boat was a large barracuda. A short swim away we found friendly groupers, schools of jacks, grunts and a pair of turtles. On the night dive plenty of nocturnal critters and rays.

Tuesday
Neptune’s Wall was our first dive of the day. This site has a nice long slope to the deep end. We enjoyed caves with lots of small creatures. School of Snapper came in for a close look and near the mooring line a huge school of Blue Chromis. Our next dive site is always the highlight of the week, Stingray City. As we drop the anchor in a shallow area of sand, the Stingrays swim right up to us. Everyone had a chance to feed them top grade squid! Some very good pictures and video was taken while large and small rays swam around our group. Our third site of the day was Babylon. Here we enjoyed another pinnacle and shear drop off, we explored the ledges and swim through off the edge of the wall visibility was incredible. Babylon is one of the best dive sites in Grand Cayman.

Wednesday
Little Cayman! We were able to make a late night crossing to Bloody Bay on Little Cayman. Randy’s Gazebo was our first dive site. We swam in and out of a couple of Chimneys, through the Archway, hung out over a shear wall and saw a couple of Turtles; an awesome way to start our first day in Little Cayman. The Meadows was next on the list for Monday. We encountered and took pictures of Turtles, Sharks, Rays, Schooling Jacks, Barracuda, Very Friendly Groupers and more. The night dive produced all the usual’s including, Huge Channel Clinging Crabs, Turtle, Lobsters. This was an Excellent Day Of Diving.

Thursday
Our dive site was Leah Leah’s Lookout. Here we got to enjoy the crevice that runs from the 20 feet and out to the wall at 100 feet. Good visibility with little or no current and we were treated to Reef and Nurse Sharks, Spotted Drums and hundreds of Tropical Fish. Our afternoon was spent on 3 Fathom Wall/Marilyn’s Cut. This dive is several sites in one; because of this we have lots of places to explore. We enjoyed all types of marine animals, including, Rays, Sharks, Scorpion Fish, Turtles, Schools of Snappers and Wrasse. The Great Wall was our final site in Little Cayman. This is the Best wall dive in the Caribbean, if not the world. We loved floating at 20 feet looking over the shear drop off and meeting Freddy and his group of friendly Groupers. A beautiful wall to swim along and a wonderful reef to do a safety stop on. It is the best of both worlds in diving.

Friday
We were treated to two dive sites in one. Round Rock and Trinity Caves are very close together. As we swam along the wall we saw deep-water fans, colorful sponges, hard and soft corals, plus colorful juveniles all over these reefs. Devils Grotto was our last dive of the week. Swim through, Caves, Cracks and Crevices were there for the exploring always a great way to end a great end a week of diving on the Cayman Aggressor IV.

We Would Like To Say Thanks To Everyone For Making This A Safe Fun Week Of Eating, Sleeping And Diving!!!!

Until Next Time…

I am curious why the boat never headed for LC and CB, was it bad weather?

I am also curious. If a rough crossing is predicted, can the guests vote to make the run with the Capt holding veto power (if it will be unsafe rather than uncomfortable)? I'm booked with the boat later this year and am really hoping to make it to Little Cayman, and am wondering what conditions "cancel" that part of the trip.

@ slingshot, me too! I will be onboard 5/26. This will be my third trip on the Cayman Aggressor. When are you going?
