Carnival Freeport Bahamas 9 am dive time realistic?

Just wondering if anyone has tried Unexso out of Freeport on their own. I made reservations on my own to dive at 9 am with my son. We dock at port at 8 am. Check in time is 830am. I know it is a tight time frame to get from ship to shop in 30 min. Just wanted others opinions and suggestions on other dive companies. My son just got certified and I don't want to miss his first ocean dive!

It's not implausible to think you could do it. The port to Unexso is about 8 miles. Grab a cab once you're thru customs/immigration and go. Don't do any sort of shared ride thing so you don't have other stops in Port Lucaya.

Other options:

Caribbean Divers - - Bell Channel Inn
Grand Bahama - Grand Bahama Scuba - Dive Packages
Sunn Odyssey leaves at 8:30 so that's worse.
Cove's at Old Bahama Bay is too far west.
