Hi,
I have been looking for a weeks liveaboard for the winter and found the Caribbean Explorer originating in St. Martin. They have a website ( http://www.caribexplorer.com ) but I'm looking for positive/negative comments from people who have been on the boat. It seems to be, in price and features, somewhere between a Blackbeard cruise and an Aggressor/Peter Hughes cruise.

I dove the Caribbean Explorer about 4 years ago. The boat was O.k. but not up to Aggressor or Peter's standards. There were only 2 heads at that time. The food was fair to good. For some reason they only put one sheet on each bunk--wierd ! At that time they insisted on a strict buddy system--you might wind up with a panic stricken novice as I did on that cruise. The diving is deep, 100 feet on the first two dives. Some sites were very good with abundant fish and a few pelagics. I especially enjoyed the common flying guanards ! Your entries from the boat are (or were at that time) a six foot jump from the side of the boat. There can be strong currents and rough seas. As for me I will not return, the diving off Little Cayman is still the best in the Caribbean ! The Professor
